Kybella is a non-surgical injectable, approved by FDA for the reduction of fat in submental area – below the chin (commonly referred to as “double chin”).
It contains deoxycholic acid, a substance naturally present in the body, which helps the body to absorb fats.
When injected into the fat tissue, Kybella destroys the fat cells, which are then removed naturally through the lymphatic system. It is used only for the reduction of fat (moderate-to-severe) below the chin. There is little or no downtime – the patient can resume daily activities immediately, although there will be some swelling in the treatment area for 3-5 days.

After the completion of the treatment plan, which may take up to six treatments, the fat elimination is permanent – those cells can no longer accumulate or store fat.
